Dolly is an on-demand moving help & furniture delivery app. TechCrunch has described Dolly as “basically an Uber for furniture and other large items”. Dolly was started in 2013 in Seattle, Washington and has since grown to a few other markets.
Working for Dolly can be in two different ways.
A “Helper” is someone with a truck, trailer or another type of vehicle able to move large furniture. Your job will be to move the furniture into your vehicle and drive it to the desired location. This pay is supposedly $30+/hr.
A “Hands” is more or less just hired muscle. Your job will be to help a helper move especially heavy objects or possibly jobs clients just want to be done faster. This pay is supposedly $15+/hr.
