While you can make better money during bad weather it also comes with more risk. Please understand the danger that comes with driving in bad weather and make sure your car is properly equipped to deal with the conditions. If you feel unsafe driving in certain conditions it may be best if you don’t.
Many rideshare drivers will not go out and drive in heavy rain. This reduces the number of drivers on the roads so you will get more frequent surges and more rides. In addition during times of heavy rain, people will often tip you more. Finally, remember people appreciate getting places safely more than quickly. Make sure you drive knowing how the slippery conditions will affect your vehicle.
Often times Uber & Lyft drivers hate driving in heavy snow. Fewer drivers on the roads mean more rides for you and more demand so more surge. Just like with heavy rain in heavy snow conditions you will often get more tips while driving in the conditions.
The best days to drive are when most people are not able or want to drive. This mainly includes weekends, drinking holidays, special events where there is a fair amount of drinking and when there is bad weather such as heavy rain or during a blizzard.
